पद्मभूषण डॉ. वसंतरावदादा पाटील अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयात सन १९९५ साली उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचा रौप्यमहोत्सवी “विद्यार्थी मेळावा” उत्साहात व मोठ्या दिमाखात साजरा करण्यात आला. १९८३ साली डॉ. वसंतरावदादा पाटीलयांच्या दूरदृष्टीतून साकारलेल्या या महाविद्यालयाने सुरवातीपासूनच ज्ञानदानाचे मोलाचे कार्य उत्तमरीतीने सुरु ठेवले आहे.
दरवर्षीप्रमाणेच यावर्षी देखील दि. ८ फेब्रुवारीला, २५ वर्षांपूर्वी उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा स्नेहमेळावा आयोजित केला होता. या मेळाव्यासाठी देशविदेशातून विद्यार्थी विद्यार्थिनी उपस्थित होते. यावेळी महाविद्यालयाचे माजी विद्यार्थी व मायक्रो इंनोटेक, पुणे या कंपनीचे मालक श्री राजेश पवार यांच्या हस्ते त्यांच्या कंपनीने पुरस्कृत केलेल्या महाविद्यालयातील ‘मेकॅट्रॉनिक्स लॅब’चे उदघाटन करण्यात आले. यानिमित्त महाविद्यालयातर्फे मा. श्री राजेश पवार यांचा शेतकरी शिक्षण मंडळाचे विश्वस्त मा. श्री अमितदादा पाटील व गव्हर्निंग कौंसिलचे अध्यक्ष मा. श्री. पी एल रजपूत सर यांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला. या लॅबमधील मित्सुबिशी, सिमेन्स तंत्रज्ञान असलेल्या अद्यावत अशा मेकॅट्रॉनिक्स ट्रेनर उपकरणाचा विद्यार्थ्यांना अद्यावत शिक्षण देण्यासाठी अतिशय उपयोग होणार आहे.
या कार्यक्रमासाठी श्री. सोमनाथ लोहाले हे शांघाय (चीन) येथून, तर इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स विभागाचे विद्यार्थी व भाभा अणुसंशोधन केंद्रातील शास्त्रज्ञ श्री चारुदत्त कुलकर्णी, जिओ सांगली विभागाचे व पूर काळात आपल्या ज्ञानाच्या जोरावर सर्वत्र मोबाईल रेंज उपलब्ध करून दिलेले श्री. साहेबहुसेन पिरजादे, याबरोबरच चेतन मोदी, डॉ. मनीषा पाटील, सौ. सत्यवती आपटे, निपॉन बर्जर पेन्ट्सचे जनरल मॅनेजर श्री. जयदीप कट्टी, डॉ. केदार इनामदार मेकॅनिकल विभागप्रमुख वालचंद सांगली आदी विविध विभागातील माजी विद्यार्थी विद्यार्थिनींनी आवर्जून उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी आयोजित कार्यक्रमात माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त करताना महाविद्यालयाचे संस्थापक स्व.डॉ. वसंतरावदादा पाटील यांच्या विनाअनुदानित अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाच्या स्थापनेमागच्या दूरदृष्टीचे भरभरून कौतुक केले व महाविद्यालयाची विविध क्षेत्रातील प्रगती पाहून सर्व माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी समाधान व्यक्त केले. व महाविद्यालयाच्या प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करताना माजी विद्यार्थी या नात्याने सर्वतोपरी सहाय्य्य करण्याचे आश्वासन दिले.
यावेळी बोलताना पदवी प्राचार्य डॉ. डी व्ही घेवडे यांनी उपस्थितांना महाविद्यालयात राबवत असलेल्या विविध उपक्रमांची, अभिनव प्रयोगांची माहिती करून दिली.
महाविद्यालयातील माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी जुन्या आठवणींना उजाळा देताना आयुष्यभर पुरेल इतके ज्ञान व संस्कार यांची शिदोरी व शिकण्याची उमेद दिल्याचे नमूद करत आपल्या शिक्षकांप्रती कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली. आयुष्यात यशस्वी होण्यासाठी तसेच कोणत्याही अडचणींवर मत करताना अभियांत्रिकी शिक्षणामुळे मिळालेला दृष्टिकोन नेहमी उपयोगी पडतो असे ठळकपणे नमूद केले.
यावेळी माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी महाविद्यालयातील विविध विभागांना भेटी देत महाविद्यालयाच्या प्रगतीचा आढावा घेतला तसेच विविध शिक्षण घेत असलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांशी मनमोकळा संवाद साधताना त्यांच्या शंकांचे निरसन केले.
माजी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी महाविद्यालयातील आर्ट स्पेक्ट्रमच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी मनोरंजन व विविध गुणदर्शन कार्यक्रमाचे देखील आयोजन केले. त्याचा देखील माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी मनमुराद आनंद लुटला.
Silver jubilee Alumni meet of 1995 batch of Padmabhushan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology, Sangli were celebrated with great enthusiasm and big hearts. From 1983 the college which is recognized by the vision of Dr. Vasantraodada Patil has continued its valuable work of enlightenment.
Like every year, this year too on 7th February a symposium was organized for the students who passed 25 years ago. Students from all over the country were present for this fair. On this occasion the ‘Mechatronics Lab’ of the college was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Pawar an alumnus of the college and the owner of the company, Micro Innotech, Pune. On behalf of the college the guest of honor has been given to Shri. Rajesh Pawar by Shri Amitdada Patil, Trustee of Dr. VPSSM, Sangli and Mr. P.L Rajput Sir, Chairman of the Governing Council. This Mitsubishi and updated Siemens technology will be very useful for teaching students.
For this meet Shri. Somnath Lohale from Shanghai (China), Scientist from Bhabha Atmospheric Center Mr. Charudatta Kulkarni, Shri. Sahebhusen Pirjade from JIO, Sangli department who made availability of mobile range during flood situation. Also Mr. Chetan Modi, Dr. Manisha Patil, Mrs. Satyawati Apate, Mr. Jaydeep Katti, General Manager, Nipon Berger Paints, Dr. Kedar Inamdar, HOD Mechanical Department WCE, Sangli and alumni of various departments were present on the occasion.
During the program the former students appreciates the vision behind the establishment of an unaided engineering colleges the founder Dr. Vasantradada Patil.
On this occasion the Dr. D.V Ghevade Principal informed the attendees of various activities and innovative experiments being implemented in the college.
Alumni of the college expressed their gratitude to their teachers, saying that they would like to teach the knowledge and rituals that will last a lifetime while illuminating old memories. Alumni’s noted that engineering education is always helpful when it comes to success in life as well as voting on any issues.
Students from the art spectrum of the college also organized entertainment and various performance programs.
