The Department of First-Year Engineering was established in the year 1983 with the establishment of the institute. The department has a good intermingle of experienced and trained faculty which works as a team to strengthen the department.

Mission

  • To provide students with an environment that will help them achieve an engineering career that reflects their interests and abilities.
  • To impart fundamental engineering knowledge to students in fields that include mechanical, civil, computer, electrical, and electronic engineering. 
  • To offer strong technical and fundamental knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and communication skills, which will provide students with an excellent foundation for developing their engineering skills at PVPIT.
