Degree Electrical and computer Engineering : PEO

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)-

PEO1: To produce competent Electrical Engineering graduates with a solid foundation in electrical engineering, design analytics and problem solving skills for flourishing professional careers in industry, academia, and public service.
PEO2: To inculcate professional and ethical attitude, communication and team work skills and the ability to relate engineering issues from broader social perspective for truly contributing to the needs of the nation.
PEO3: To prepare and encourage students to undergo research work as well as to involve in scientific innovations for sustainable development.
PEO4: To enable students to possess attitude to learn and adopt new technologies as it evolves and be lifelong learners.

 

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)-

After successful completion of B.E. Electrical Engineering Program students will be able to:

1 Engineering Knowledge Acquire and apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics, science and electrical engineering principles.
2 Problem analysis Identify, formulate, review literature and analyze electrical engineering problems in order to get the desired solution using first principles of mathematics, natural science and engineering science.
3 Design/ Development of solutions Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and electrical engineering fundamentals in designing and evaluating system components, processes and systems related to electrical engineering to meet the specified needs.
4 Conduct Investigation of Complex Problems Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
5 Modern Tool usage Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern electrical engineering software and tools for modeling engineering activities with understanding of the limitations.
6 Engineer and society Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the electrical engineering.
7 Environment and sustainability Understand the impact of the professional engineering solution in environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
8 Ethics To understand ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities.
9 Individual and team work Function effectively as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings.
10 Communication Communicate effectively in the activities with the engineering community and for society at large in order to comprehend and write effective reports, design documentation, make effective presentations and give or receive clear instructions.
11 Project management and finance Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply these while working as a member and / or leader in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environment.
12 Life – Long Learning Recognize the need for and acquire the ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in context of technological change.

PSOs (Program Specific Outcomes)

1 Develop competency in Electrical  Machines & Electrical Drives to be required to practice Electrical Engineering profession.
2 Ability to analyze Power System  through Industry Interaction & Advanced Software tools.
